Description of Services: Inpatient rehabilitation program for adults recovering from bone, muscle, or joint injury or surgery * goal is to help patients restore as much function and mobility as possible * services provided by a physiatrist, attending physician, nursing staff, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and other health professionals

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Adults with a specific diagnosis or condition related to musculoskeletal trauma or surgery * patients are admitted on the complexity of the rehabilitation required * physiatrist assessment required to determined if rehabilitation should be provided through inpatient admission or on an outpatient basis

Service is for Individuals Who: have had complex hip or knee replacements, a joint replacement re-done, or severe trauma due to an accident

Diagnosis: specific diagnosis or condition related to: complicated hip and knee arthroplasties; arthroplasty revisions; more than one MSK pathology; extensive MSK trauma; non-surgical musculoskeletal conditions requiring rehabilitation (e.g. system lupus erythrematosis, rheumatoid arthritis); other illness whose major requirement is musculoskeletal
Other: parents are admitted on the complexity of the rehabilitation required, not on the primary medical condition/diagnosis * physiatrist assessment required to determined if rehabilitation should be provided through inpatient admission or on an outpatient basis
